Devika's Bio

Devika Shanker-Grandpierre is a strategic advisor specialising in technology strategy, operational excellence, and value creation. Devika supports organisations navigate challenges with  precision, drive initiatives that enhance organisational efficiency, build high-performing technical and operational teams, and deliver long-term business success.

Before founding JSG Strategy, which focuses on trust and safety, and Shanker-Grandpierre Consulting , Devika led teams at TikTok that focused on addressing emerging geopolitical risks. She authored the platform's first transparency report on covert influence operations and worked closely with global governments and regulatory bodies to combat online harms through product and policy solutions.

At Meta, Devika led a team of market experts who used geopolitical insights to mitigate high-severity risks. She began her career at JP Morgan Chase , focusing on financial risk.

​

Devika currently also serves as a Thematic Panel Member, advising the EU on geopolitical challenges, providing evidence-based recommendations to Member States and DG HOME, focusing on emergent threats and key global factors shaping the EU's security landscape.

​

In addition to her advisory work, Devika teaches at the Thessaloniki Summer School for young journalists, providing MA students with valuable insights into the challenges faced by leaders in tech companies, as well as policymakers and governments, in navigating the balance between safety, transparency, and opportunity. Her research on technology exploitation and preventive solutions has been published by the Global Network on Extremism and Technology, an academic initiative affiliated with King’s College London’s Department of War Studies.

Devika is also an Advocacy Champion for the Irish Cancer Society and serves on the board of the Irish National Youth Ballet, a charitable organisation committed to supporting young dancers in Ireland.
