Devika Shanker-Grandpierre is a senior operator in trust & safety, online safety regulation and AI governance. She has spent the last decade building the people, systems and partnerships that keep large-scale platforms — and the institutions that regulate them — ahead of fast-moving threats.
At TikTok, she founded and led a 15–20 person global Threat Disruption organisation across San Jose, Dublin, London and New York, stood up internal threat detection that replaced more than $1M in annual third-party tooling spend, authored the company's first Covert Influence Operations transparency report, and partnered with the European Commission on the DSA and the Code of Practice on Disinformation. At Meta, she built and managed regional integrity teams across the Indian subcontinent handling 80+ daily incident responses, and led an activity-based redesign of a 500-person operations function projected to deliver a 30% productivity uplift.
She now serves as a Non-Executive Director on Ofcom's Online Information Committee, an Independent Expert in Ofgem's AI Regulation Lab, and a Thematic Panel Member of the EU Commission's Knowledge Hub on Prevention of Radicalisation. Through her independent practice she advises private equity, regulated technology and public-sector clients on geopolitical risk, technology policy and stakeholder strategy.
She publishes regularly with the Global Network on Extremism and Technology at King's College London on extremist networks, AI-generated disinformation and online safety, and speaks at venues including Bloomberg, the European External Action Service, SuperReturn International and King's College London.
